Here in Greater Des Moines, it's easy to be a kid. Whether your idea of household fun is a skate park, a smash park, an amusement park, or a real park, Des Moines is the perfect escape, no matter if you're young or simply young at heart.
Gee, what could be more enjoyable than spring break with the kids? Those gorgeous children leaping on the sofa, fighting with each other, making a mess all over they go. It's sufficient to drive a moms and dad wild. So, leave your home. Here's a list of things you can do with the rugrats for totally free, and they're enjoyable, too.

Register here: Bring a jacket and take pleasure in the telescopes and expert assistance at a "Starr Party" at Caspers Wilderness Park from 7-9:30 p.m. There will be stargazing equipment on hand, however you can also bring your own. Activities occur at the nature center. Free admission, however parking is $5.
Kids can choose from a range of seeds available to take home and grow their own gardens (while products last). How about a scavenger hunt for teenagers at the Teen Egg-Venture? Search for clues inside your home at the Ronald J. Parks Neighborhood Entertainment Center at 7 p.m. to win prizes, then enjoy a picture cubicle, video games, dodgeball, Karaoke and more until 9 p.m. 30875 Rancho Vista Road, Temecula.
